Maybe I missed the setting somewhere, but if I have Plex DVR recording episodes of a TV show I already have in the library, can I prevent it from recording duplicate episodes?
If you already have an episode in the same library you have setup for recordings Plex will not typically record the same episode again. Unless you have instructed Plex to replace lower resolution episodes with a higher resolution recording. If you are recording to a different library than the existing episode then Plex will record the same episode.
Oh, that’s what happened then, I have replace lower res on, and my current recordings are in SD.
I’m going to have to get the post processing commercial removal set up soon then.
