Windows 10 - Playlist database?

Server Version#: 1.15.3.876
Player Version#:

I just had to reset my Windows 10. I basically lost my Plex server, but was able to rebuild a new one. My issue is that I created several music playlists with thousands of songs, and would like to avoid trying to re-create them from scratch. Is there any way to restore them, and if not, is there any way to at least access them so that I can see them?

This is my first post, so I apologize if I’m breaking any etiquette.

Thank you in advance.

If you deleted your previous Plex server, all your custom metadata and playlists are gone.
They are all stored in the Plex data folder, so if you don’t have access to this anymore, not even on a backup copy then they are gone for good.

Okay. Thank you for the response, Otto.

I assume that I deleted my Plex server when I reset Windows? If not, where can I find what I’m looking for? Everything in the Plex Data Folder looks like mumbo jumbo to me.

Thank you.

No, I’m afraid that the contents were erased when you did the Windows refresh.
If you don’t have a backup of your system hard drive, there is probably no way to restore anything.

Okay. I was afraid of that.

Not the end of the world, as the playlists are the only thing I lost, I believe, but good to know for next time.

Thank you for your time, Otto.

You should back up at least the lists always. Metadata can fix itself. It may take time, but use this as a learning experience. Here is the location:

In this case, a picture is not worth a thousand words…

A simple URL would’ve been better

I didn’t have the link, man. I stumbled upon it and just happen to have a pic in my phone from before. I stated that earlier in this post. Sorry

Thank you both for your help!!
