Restoring playlists after a server rebuild

I have a general question on playlists, if I rebuild my server from scratch but use all of my same media files in the same directory structure then is it possible to restore my playlists?

I asked this because I’m beginning to invest a lot of time building Plex playlists and it would be a pain to have to rebuild them in the future if I have to rebuild my server for whatever reason.

Unfortunately it isn’t.

Playlists are stored in the primary database file, which itself is located in the Plex data folder.
Unless you backup this and restore it on the new machine, you will lose all playlists and other metadata.
