When trying to put Windows 10 computer in to sleep mode, it won’t go in to sleep mode with Plex Media Server running. When PMS is running; when typing ‘powercfg -requests’, run as administrator, at the DOS box, it comes up with PMS entries in the System and Awaymodes. Then, when trying to put in to sleep mode, it doesn’t work.
However, when PMS is closed and then do the above, there are no entries, and sleep mode works OK.
Please advise if there will be a fix for this (so PMS can still run and also go in to sleep mode automatically) as it was working a couple of weeks ago. Thanks in advance.

I’d like to be able to put my server to sleep nightly (to save on power consumption), and then I use WOL from my NAS to bring the computer out of sleep.
General: Support away mode when preventing system sleep - Unchecked
Library: Run a partial scan when changes are detected - Unchecked
Library: Scan my library automatically - Unchecked
Library: Scan my library periodically - 12 hours (if you go any less like 6 hours, the computer will wake up after a few minutes)
Tested each of these settings one by one, then putting the computer to sleep. And not via the sleep button in the start menu. But using this command in a Scheduled Task: C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe Powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState Sleep
I got success with this. Put my computer to sleep with a scheduled task, then wake it up in the early morning with a WOL script sent from my NAS. I couldn’t wake up my Intel NUC any other way (task scheduler, bios setup), some ongoing firmware issue.
might wan’t to share where you are finding these settings (#2-5). It shouldn’t be hard to have the server up and running and be able to put the computer to sleep. Every time I find an issue, Plex is getting more and more dissapointing.
I am also having this trouble. Until a few months back, the computer was sleeping just fine, but now it either won’t sleep at all or it wakes right back up. I have tried all of the suggested options above. Currently running 1.15.1.791
