Hi. I have a fresh new Windows 11 desktop install with Plex running as server, sharing from the local SSD. The pc is set to suspend after 25 minutes and that’s how I’d like to set it, of course this is not ideal for a PMS but I was trying to make it work that is don’t sleep when streaming. It actually works while streaming but as soon as I hit the STOP button on the player (smart TV) the pc goes to sleep! So from the plex player app all of a sudden I can’t even see the videos from the library as the connection is lost.
Is there some workaround there? In Plex advanced settings the Support Away Mode when preventing system sleep is ticked as also on the energy settings in Windows the Multimedia Setting “When sharing media” is set to “Allow the computer to enter Away Mode”. I was hoping this “away mode” did the trick but eventually not what I expected.
