I just installed 1.5x and I’m happy to see that in the download area some improvements happened.
Now there are Download Option - like how many episodes will be downloaded and when they should be deleted.
Following options are available:
- All episodes
- 5 latest episodes
- 3 latest episodes
- latest episode
- next unplayed episode
- next 3 unplayed episodes
- next 5 unplayed episodes
So my question is:
Why is a selection of “all unplayed episodes” missing?
I’d like to have this option as in the old one - so I can mark a full show to be downloaded and I have everything unwatched with me.
Until now there was no marker on downloaded episodes if they were played or not. And as I can see this is still not there. Would be also good to have this orange triangle which marks an episode as watched or not in the dashboard view.
Is there a plan to implement this also again?
I know this feature request is limited to windows. But I would like this feature added to iOS as well. The new download feature allows me to download all episodes … but not all unwatched episodes. I really need all unwatched episodes as I typically travel for 3-4 weeks at a time. Relying on hotel wifi to sync new episodes is not practical.

Almost 3 years now, and this option is still not available.
The feature has been updated to allow up to 20 episodes. Still not enough?
You could also create a smart playlist filters to unwatched and Download that playlist.
I can see your point but … 6 episodes, 2 seasons = 12 episodes in total … but I’ve watched all of season 1, why would I want to download 5, 10 or 20? … I just need to download the 6 unwatched, as the OP says, “All Unwatched”.
Otherwise its a waste of space on the (much smaller than main storage NAS) ipad.
