AND create the Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server structure

THEN installing Plex Media Server 1.24.2.4973 or higher,

The Synology installer will “migrate” all the server internal files to DSM 7 format for you.

The only task remaining for you will be to update the media locations; switching from Windows paths to DSM 7 paths (local paths) … per the 'movie media to a new location
You’ll have your media and Server instance on DSM fully operational, without the any visible change to the users.
