Where did the windows APP from the Microsoft APP store go? The other Plex media player with the stand alone installer is a piece of crap. I want the UWP back, it was much better then this TV like version.
We stopped developing that in 2017 and it was removed from app store in mid/late 2018 if i recall.
The Plex for Mac/Windows app which has the interface like the Web app is available on our downloads page
If you had previously downloaded the Old Microsoft Store version of the plex app, it should still be available.
Launch the Microsoft Store app,
Click on the three dots …
Click on downloads & Updates
On the left hand side click on All Owned
there in the list should be the Original Windows Store app.
On the right hand side of the app there should be the install button.
I am still using the old app, specifically for the sync and transcode ability which work best with mp4 files
