I have the Plex server plugin installed and working on a PC running FreeNAS. I saw that the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD is supported so I bought one. I was disappointed when the tuner is not found in the Live TV setup. Is there some drivers or something?
No, the cx88/libtuner ports support all of the hardware on these cards - except for the si2157 and si2168 tuner and demodulators. There are linux drivers in v4l for both of these and I was going to use them as a basis to add them to the freebsd ports, but I never got around to it as I ended up with a hdhomerun and just used it as the hauppauge devs weren’t interested and the cx88 author doesn’t have time to do more than just maintenance on his existing work. What you could try is installing a tiny linux(or windows) bhyve and using pci passthrough to get the card working.
