Plex recognizes the tuner as two devices with 2 tuners each. I can record 4 shows at once without issue.
When I try opening Live TV on a 3rd tuner it fails with code 5000. The first two can either be recording or Live TV. Failure occurs the same. The particular tuners in use are not the same for the tests I’ve done. Which tuners are used seem random.
Linux kernel is Hauppauge’s PPA on Ubuntu 20.04. Mediatree 5.4.0-392007061620-generic.
4x recordings work, but not live tv? Do you see anything in dmesg? I’m going to update the ppa soon, but I believe the driver that is in the 0706 release is already my stable driver.
I tried again just now and was able to do one recording and 3 live tv sessions. I did update to Plex server 1.20.1 today. Perhaps something in there fixed it. I don’t recall seeing anything in dmesg.
Where is the preferred place to report issues? The device is working, I’ve been recording for several hours every day
The status lights are a bit odd. 1 and 3 are green. When a tuner is in use they turn yellow. That’s different than Windows. Maybe intentional? Not a big deal.
The channel scan shows all channels with weak signal. That’s little more than an annoyance though. It doesn’t affect operation.
It’s my drivers you’re using though and it’s my job to make sure they work. Issues specifically for them should be reported on my github (if it’s determined not plex issue)
The led’s are intentional lol. The yellow overpowers the green and the way the driver is both can’t be toggled. So I switched their meaning, green means loaded, yellow means in use…but led’s 2 & 4 seem to not be connected on the board.
