Server Version#:4.34.3
Player Version#:7.3.1
I noticed with the new player version (apparently I was a few back before updating) that the only way to see episode titles for shows is to scroll over each on. I miss having the episode titles under each one, that way I can browse through them quicker, finding the episode I want.
Is there a setting to change to allow this, or is this how the new player is now?
I agree. I hadn’t quite figured out what I didn’t like about the change, and I do like how slick it looks, but I don’t love that you can’t see episode titles.
I’m also really struggling with the way you scroll past episodes to select them. (Especially on the confounded Apple TV remote …)
If you want to go to Season 3, Episode 2, and then hit “More …” …
You go to the top, scroll sideways to Season 3, and you CLICK. The screen doesn’t change until you click.
You scroll down, then sideways over Episode 2, but you do NOT click. You just leave it. The screen changes as you scroll. You know it’s been chosen because the others dim.
You scroll down to “More …”, and you CLICK.
If you mess up going from #2 to #3, it changes the episode you’re on.
If you click instead of just scrolling away, it starts playing.
I suppose this is faster in the “normal” case, and it might just be a fear of change and my muscle memory.
What is really amazing is that not one person that works for Plex sees anything wrong with that.
Proving beyond any doubt that people that work for Plex - don’t use Plex.
Once Upon a Time - The Roku Retro App had a nice pop up bubble containing everything you need… Episode Name, Run Time, and even resolution if I recall. In comes UNO and out goes the info bubble - never to be seen again.
Nobody at Plex noticed a thing, but the users did.
