With the recent change to DVR/EPG, can we still use Plex Media Server 1.14 while issues are sorted out in 1.16?

Ever since PMS version 1.15, I have experienced memory utilization issues with the Plex Media Server. While waiting for the issues to be resolved, I have been running PMS 1.14. Can I still run PMS 1.14 while the memory utilization issues are being worked on, or do I have to run PMS 1.16+ in order to keep full DVR functionality due to the recent change?

At this point, I will need to restart PMS every 24 hours when running version 1.16+, while I can run PMS 1.14 and not have to worry about service restarts.

If you use an XML provider no, if you need the new EPG Provider that Plex provide yes.
