With the new Plex Remote Pass do you still need port forwarding for remote watch?

In the past to watch remotely you had to configure your wi-fi settings where your server is to allow for external connecting.

With the new Plex Remote Pass, it says you can “stream anywhere seamlessly.” Does this mean that with the Plex Remote Pass you no longer need any special setup, and can just sign-in to Plex from anywhere and access your plex server like that?

You still need a working remote access setup.

Welp, I was hoping if they were going to be charging money then there’d be a service like being able to, yaknow, stream from anywhere and be able to use like their servers as a middleman. But I guess not…
