So just last week I had my WOL working. I could open plex.tv from any computer anywhere and it would wake up my server and streaming would commence. Fast forward to this week and I attempted the same thing and nothing. I had a power outage and thought perhaps the server didn’t recover from that, but when I got back home everything was good except I confirmed that WOL wasn’t working. I went to check out all my settings and everything seems to be setup correctly. Other WOL application I have work. I tested removing all my WOL settings from the BIOS, from device manager, and from the firewall. With everything off nothing worked as expected, but turning it back on still didn’t change anything. I can wake up my server from DDNS through the router or from another computer on the network trying to access it’s file share so I know the hardware is working. It almost seems like the plex service isn’t sending a WOL packet anymore. I updated media server to 1.15.1.791 as it was having an issue auto updating. When my server is awake it is still accessible outside my network so I know all the port forwarding is running and working properly. I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this behavior just within this week or anyone can think of something I’m missing.
