I reinstalled and it fixed it for a while, but then the problem re-appeared. Sign out and back in worked. That was this morning so it’s not been long enough to know if the problem comes back.
Sure don’t know what plex programmers and quality control are doing but now the latest app has broken the prior temp. fix so freezing is back. Back to unresponsive plex iOS app on iPad but web works fine. It isn’t the server or web plex.tv wouldn’t work on exact same iPad Pro with exact same server settings. Only way the app is useful is off line, and that’s only of value if you have downloads. Can’t do any more downloads either because it freezes. Need to go back to 7.26 app version plex! This long with no true solution is really not right.
Still working fine on our iPhones and iPads and daughters iPad Pro.
Nothing special in our setup.
I can even select all library options on PMS and still works.
Also tried downloads and all good.

Reinstalled Plex (version 7.28.1) again on my iPad Pro, seems to work fine (for now) if I don’t download media to my iPad. I was even able to reset the customisation of my libraries to the default settings without the app crashing.
My issue seems to be related to downloaded (or downloading) media with the new download feature.
I had a few TV shows set up to download 5 unwatched episodes on refresh.
