Latest Plex app on iphone unusable, just freezes after opening

iPhone 11 running iOS 15.3

I’ve never had an issue until the Plex app upgraded two days ago, now I can’t even use the app. It launches, loads my Home screen and then just hangs.

I saw a previous post claiming there was a workaround, however in my case I can’t navigate to change any settings or collect logs. After the app is open for about 60 seconds, the back of my phone gets noticeably hot to the touch. Either the app crashes or I have to manually close it.

Is this issue confirmed and being addressed?

Same problem
My Plex 7.28 app on iPhone X iOS 15.3 freezes completely right after opening it. Unusable totally

Uninstalled/reinstalled the iOS app – it is working again (so far).

Plex iOS app doesn´t react on ipad pro and iphone 11, totaly unusable.
No prob in webplayer (chrome).
Any suggestions? whats the matter??

Remove the Plex app on the ipad/iphone and reinstall.

Removing the app from my device and reinstalling it helped for one time but now it again freezes and being unresponsive. So, problem not solved

still freezing for me. It eventually wakes up but you have to be super patient. Apparently it’s now grabbing way more memory than my new iPhone can quickly provide. I don’t want to reinstall it every day. How about news on a fix / new version please?
