Big screen clients require more effort, since typical remote controls have less and less buttons nowadays.
Still, there are 2 options:
- if you enable “Allow media deletion” in the server settings, you can delete videos from the context menu on their preplay screen
- you can assign a “star rating” to any item on its preplay screen (not while it’s playing). So you give deletion candidates half a star.
You can later use the Plex web app and filter the libary by star rating and then multi-select all the half starred items and delete them at once.
There are “sharing labels”, Genre, and collections, or playlists. Each has their own pros and cons. As a beginner in plex, you should try all of them.
Overall, the tagging system in plex is not as extensive as you may find it in photography apps like Lightroom.
