I have shows that others watch regularly that I have no interest in. I would like to set those shows/series as watched that would include future episodes. So any new episodes would not show up in home or anywhere else.

There’s actually 2 quite similar feature suggestions aiming at just that:
Feature Request: Hide TV Show/Movie per profile (exclusive hiding, not inclusive hiding) → user to hide items from their libraries from showing
Is there a way to hide tv shows you don't watch on a shared server? → user to hide items they’re not interested in from a shared server
