Wow, wow and wow

Seeing some negativity here and more than a few issues, so thought I would say what a brilliant addition to the plex world this is. Running perfectly on my Xbone, off my mavericks Mac mini. Not one issue at all, everything looks and works perfectly, including voice commands. Brilliant work all round, no idea how you will improve on this but can’t wait to see it!

It's certainly not issue free, but I agree with your sentiment.  This is a very impressive first release.

Also major kudos to Ian, he's been kill'n it in the forums today and extremely responsive to issues and feedback.  Someone give the man a raise.

I agree, I actually enjoy the Xbox One GUI for Plex. Unfortunately that's all I can appreciate as nothing will play for me. ;) Baby steps...

The Plex app for Xbox One has amazing potential, I think that's why we're all so fired up about it!

We're a little upset about the (current) shortcomings of the app, but this should improve once Microsoft gets it's updates out, realises what is most important to HTPC users, and the Plex team have a chance to work on it a little more. A great first step.

Good Jobs guys! Big fan and  I know it'll only get better and better.

Yes, this is excellent for a preview app. I can't wait to see how it's going to evolve over the next few weeks/months!

Finally it did arrive. Thank you! :)

Three cheers to the plex team! Great initial release, been working perfectly in my environment.

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! :)

Have to say I’m really impressed. Played a couple of mkvs from my Nas for the kids last night and half expected teething issues - instead it worked like a dream.

For an initial release this is very impressive imo and will only get better

Awesome I have been using it all night watching Salem without any issues :D

Great work guys!

Job well done - very impressed!

great app! many thanks

Good job! Mkvs 15gb via wifi woks amazing!!!!!!

Also great to see it can be snapped, out of the box ( no pun intended)

I even went and got the media remote today just to compliment it.

i agree:) all good here who wants a PS4 now:)

I was going to say the same sentiments. I've been following the Plex for XB thread since rumors started surfacing at the beginning of the year. Intently following every post.

The day had finally come. Downloaded the app via smartglass from work. It was ready for me when I got home. Fired it up. Sync'd it to my plex account via PIN. Done. It just works. Plays all my h264 vids. Makes XB my HTPC. The family loves it.

Great job to the team and for working with MSFT to make this happen. It was a lengthy journey and I can't wait to the further developments coming ahead.

Yeah, I really appreciate the early release. I know it is lacking some features and people will complain, but it is much better to have a basic functioning version rather than having to wait longer. This release does everything I need and makes my life so much easier, and I don't mind waiting much longer now for updates. Thank you so much to the Plex team for their hard work and listening to the community to make this release happen! I'm a proud lifetime subscriber and highly recommend plex to everyone.

Same here, ordered it on Amazon the second I read The Verge article. While I am enjoying the novelty of using my voice to control Plex, I'm sure it'll grow old over time and I'll just want to use a regular remote. Well, more so my wife wants the remote because the voice commands aren't fancy enough for her. She wants to be able to say "Xbox, play the latest episode of Downton Abbey"

Off to a great start. Looking forward to seeing more features - I'd love to replace my rasperry pi running rasplex but the xbone client isn't quite there yet.

DTS, 24p, and better subtitles support would make it a home run.
