WP8 DLNA Remote (with metadata)

Hi

I’m developing a Plex DLNA Remote app for Windows Phone 8, for the sole purpose of education. Its only feature is to act as a remote control (with metadata) between the Plex Server and a DLNA compatible devices. So far I’ve implemented the ability to discover and browse the Plex Server as well as discover any media renderer on the network etc. PS3/XBOX.

My question is; are there any documentation/notes on how to interact with the Plex DLNA Server? I would like to know if it’s possible to tell the server to play file X onto device Y (So I don’t have to implement any more UPnP).

I’ve looked at http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/39443-so-you-want-your-dlna-device-to-work-with-pms/ and it seems like you are using the user agent to map the capabilities of the device, is that correct?

Best Regards.

Okay, got my “TV” (It’s an application that replicates a DLNA/UPnP mediarenderer) to play stuff. But how do I get Plex to recognise the TV capabilities, any suggestions?

Alright, right now I’m using the web interface to browse through sections and are linking directly to the media. My guess though is I need to the DLNA “proxy” location to get the transcoding working. Does anyone know if there a way I can calculate the proxy location e.g. the http://127.0.0.1:32469/proxy/6943/2f4574f534b0c5858614/file.avi path from the information found in the web interface?

I’ve have some bug right now I need to correct, but I’m planning on releasing the app for free within a foreseeable future.
