This is the folder structure on my server:
\\server\folder\music\a\artistnames\artistsalbums\files
\\server\folder\music\a\variousartists albums\files

…
\server\folder\music\z\artistnames\artistsalbums\files
\server\folder\music\z\variousartists albums\files
The configured library folder is
\\server\folder\music\
I too have some folders with are not well tagged and maybe in a desolate state (propper musictagging is a long process, you know it) but I only mention/complain the well tagged folders here, which “should” (imho) be ok when fetched and processed, not the ones on my todo list.
Please let me repeat: It all worked well with the last.fm scanner on previous versions of PMS (before I uses the MB feature)
btw:
now, the database less in size, but Plex has not scanned the half of the content.
