Wrong metadata

I’m finding a weird issue with metadata. no matter what TV show I add, it keeps on treating it as a cartoon. Example; I’ve added Game of Thrones and it has showed posters for American Dad. I thought it’s one add instance, so added another TV show. Spartacus this time and it has matched it with Pokeman. I mean WTF is going on behind the scene?

I don’t think fix match option exists in this new Plex version. any help would be appreciated.

Here comes some images…

How are your files organized and named?
At which folder level did you point your library?
Are you downloading/ripping into the same folder, to which you have pointed Plex?

I’ve just edited the original post and shared a screenshot which shows file organization and naming. these are named by Sonarr, so I think that’s not an issue.

Folder level is drive/seriesname/season/…

They’ve downloading to a different folder but then Sonarr moves/link them.

First of all, I do recommend, that you do NOT put your media folders directly at the root of a drive, but instead one directory below, like

d:\tv-shows\spartacus\Season 01\mymedia.mkv

Then point your library to d:\tv-shows

Secondly, it’s Season 01 and not Season 1

the show is spartacus, not spartacus blood and sand and the prequal season is ‘specials’

  • /data/media/TV/Spartacus (2010)/Specials/Spartacus - s00e01 - Past Transgressions - x264 AC3.mkv

Season 1 is created by Sonarr.

The only change that I’ve made just now is, created a folder inside root just like you’ve suggested above and voila it’s fixed! Thank you for that

Naming is done by Sonarr. thank you for input though

Don’t know Sonar, but Season 1 IS WRONG, and will cause problems sooner or later

All right. thank you for the heads up. I’ll look into Sonarr naming settings.
