I have Plex Media Server installed on my TerraMaster NAS - the version reads as 1.19.4.2935.
However, when I try to access this server via the Web or mobile app, it says “The server is out of date and cannot be used. This version of Plex Web requires Plex Media Server 1.18.3 or higher.”
When I open the server directly via the Web app, it says the version is 1.18.2.2041.
Any idea what could be causing this? Help is very appreciated.
Make sure it’s actually up to date. The app store for Tereramaster can make it look like you have the most recent version installed when it’s actually just showing you the latest version you can install. You may need to update your OS to get the latest version. What PMS says your version is, is what is correct (in your case, 1.18.2.2041).
I ran into this issue a year or so ago when Plex started requiring updates. I thought I was up to date because of how the app displayed in the OS on the NAS and because it wouldn’t actually update when I tried to get any updates. After updating my OS, I was able to install the latest PMS from the app store.
