Xbox controller

Hello everybody,

In attachment there are two pictures of the remote I have.

This remote was delivered with groupon with my raspberry pi and a pre-installed XBMC.

This remote works over WIFI. My question: Is it also possible to configure this remote with rasplex?

Thanks a lot in advance!

That depends on what you mean by WIFI.

If you really mean that it uses a normal WiFi LAN to send its commands to the RPi, then it may be tricky.
That depends entirely on what kind of control protocol it uses.

But if you only meant that it is connected to the RPi by an RF dongle plugged into the USB port, it probably works.
The text on that box seems to describe it as a generic PC keyboard, which probably is recognized as a normal USB keyboard.
I have similar sized keyboards myself (of another brand) which connect by such RF dongles, and they work fine with RasPlex.

Dlanor,

Thanks for your reply. Actually, this is the hardware of a friend of me.

I didn't saw it yet myself. But he asked me if it could fix it for him and I was doubting about this aspect.

But I think(and I don't hope) there is no RF dongle included. It works just over the wifi with command it think....

But it works on XMBC, so i suppose it is certainly not impossible to make it work. But the symbol "2.4Ghz" makes me suspect there is not dongle included and it goes just with commands over WIFI.

This is not a 'WiFi' keyboard, there are loads of these wireless keyboards on the Internet, try a simple search, I would suggest that you get the usb dongle from your friend and follow dlanor's advice.

This should be the end of this thread.
