This has happened about 10 more times since the last time I posted; sometimes several times in the same day on the same console with no one changing to another console.
I am taking a chance of taging @plexninja on this. It drives everyoneās crazyā¦
Seriously, whatās the deal? This has been going on for years now. HBOgo and other apps prompt to relink maybe once a year, but Plex has been several times a month.

Also happening to me too several times a week. 1 plex account, 1 xbox one.

Every day. Sometimes twice a day. I Xbox, I plex account. Ridiculous.

This happens every time I log into the app with a different user account or if i try to log into Plex without a user account (when I come back to it after it has been idle for an hour)
This is the sole reason why your usage stats show very little Xbox app usage, because it is such a major pain in the ass to re-pin it every time it goes idle and you try with no logged in account or every time you switch users.

Any actual confirmation from Plex that this is something theyāre aware of and working on?
Kid watches a Sesame Street episode on xbox, then we switch to youtube; come back to plex and itās requesting a link again. Same profile.
Itās a deterrent to even attempt to bring up plex on xbox, at all.

FOR HELLāS SAKE! I really donāt understand why I have to re-link my account every 1-2 weeks on the Xbox One app. With other apps (e.g. HBO Go) this might happen once a year, but itās a recurring annoyance with Plex. All my settings get reset too. Devs, whatās the issue? I also donāt understand how users griping about this for years in the forums constitutes ātechnical supportā.
Ditto, I make my toastie sandwich, turn on my xbox, go to Plexā¦ BOOM! Already have an account? Please sign in, get my glasses, get my phone, type in type in plex.tv./link, google think iām searching and gives me search results, shake my phone like a loon! type it in again as a direct URL, sometimes sign into my plex account, put in the code, all linked up, take a bite of my toastieā¦ COLD! Plex, please help me eat warm toasties. ONE SIGN IN, ONE XBOX! NO MATTER THE ACCOUNT! phew, now back to my toastie.

This has been happening to me consistently every week or so I need to re-link my xbox account and all settings are gone. Iāve just kind of rolled with it and stopped setting any preferences, but today when it happened again figured I try to see if there was a fix for it. Anyone figure this out yet?

Itās been driving me insane because every time it happens I have to text my brother the code to sync again and wait for him to re-add me
Iāve found it happens:

When I try open plex to quickly after just turning the Xbox on. It seems if you donāt give the account a second to login completely and the software falls over needing a user account, when you then restart the software (fully logged in) itās somehow lost its sync

When you accidentally select āturn off consoleā instead of āturn off controllerā to save the controller batteries while watching plex, if you then turn the console on again, itās dropped itās sync
It seems that if you turn it off while itās playing, it can spaz out and drop the sync
At other times it has randomly dropped the sync for absolutely no particular reason what-so-ever
Itās infuriating to have to keep asking someone to re-add me to our NAS Plex server, when it doesnāt seem to happen to anyone else not using a Xbox

Hi @Moussa I have multiple xboxes using different xbox accounts but the same plex account.
I always get this issues whenever there is a new plex update for the xbox one app. It is very frustrating

Same issue here.
Been facing this issue for at least a year.
Lifetime plex pass paid, yet the wife calls me every other week when this happens.
I only have 1 gamertag too, and one xbox one in the house!?
Confused and frustrated subscriberā¦ In for details of a workaround.

I know itās insane. I ended up buying a Shield TV and ran it through my XB1. Makes it easy for my kids as they donāt need to switch inputs on the TV.
Iām not happy that I canāt just use my Xbox but I canāt be fighting with a stupid app all the time.
Weāre experiencing the same thing. The app is in the old version because music crashes in the the Early Access version, so weāre rolled back. Iāve had to re-link Oct 1, Oct 3 and Oct 4 despite using it every day, and removing āExtraā authorized devices server side, and shutting down correctly every time, one single gamertag on the device.
Itās gotten to the point where we do no customizations to the sidebar anymore because itās obvious that we arenāt to use the app the way we want but the way that itās forced on us.
Experiencing the same issue here as wellā¦ Have had to re-link the same xbox 6 times in 4 daysā¦ Needless to say this is getting old pretty fastā¦ Any ideas guys???
