XBOX One 10054 Error on Playback

Playback stopped twice on my XBOX One with a generic error message. I get the option to Retry or Exit. I attempted to retry once, and it played again for a few minutes before giving me another generic error message.

 

Back on the server, looking in the logs, I see the following error:

Jan 23, 2015 19:17:34:850 [6408] ERROR - Error writing media: 10054 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

 

Log is attached. I also see this error with some earlier tests that I ran, but they never force-closed on the XBOX. So maybe this error number is not relevant.

 

What other information can I provide that would be useful? Any ideas what steps I can try?

I'm experiencing the same problem with an Xbox One - exact same error.  Mine is over the WAN and isn't specific to any file type or encoding type.  Happens with everything.  It will play for about 30 seconds and then fail.  I'll provide my log also if needed.

For what it's worth, I actually have less buffering and better luck playing on Chromecast, which cannot even use the faster band of my wireless router. I'd say 2 out of 3 times, no issues on Chromecast. I never get more than 20 minutes into something on XBOX One without playback buffering or errors.

Frustrating, because I really like the XBone's UI.

I had no issue with Xbox One until recently, anything I play returns me to the "retry" or "exit" screen.  When I restart video it returns to the exact point I was watching earlier and the glitch will happen again.

I am pretty sure this started with the most recent server update, I am using version 9.11.7

I am also having this issue. As a Plex Pass member I am frustrated that we are not getting answers. I about to not be a member anymore. 

Having the same problem on Xbox one. Every 20-30min I get an error saying the server is disconnected. I press retry and it starts the video right back up. I wouldn’t call it unusable but highly annoying. I hope we get a fix soon.

I really doubt the Xbox One devs look outside that section much, but Dom C has been pretty active on the forum as late in there. Not sure why people keep posting Xbox One stuff in this section if they are Plex Pass members (which of course is necessary to be using the app).
