Xbox one app: poor design and organizing

Hello,

I don’t know if other people are experiencing these things, but here I go:
So the Xbox one plex app got updated recently with new design. Switching between servers for the same folder name (movies folder, two servers) is a nice idea but the switch isn’t very fluid and feels a little botched–the response to switching between servers is slow and sometimes unresponsive. I don’t know how to explain it further.

The previous version allowed you to enter the season of a TV show and hit the play button. I am unable to find the play button for the entire season of a show to play-so instead I have to turn my controller on when the episode ends to start the next episode. When the episode ends, for some reason, the highlighted location is…somewhere and I have to move (click around on the d-pad for the orange border to show up somewhere) around until I find it, then scroll to the next episode and start it. You should have the episode just watched, highlighted. And bring back the play button for the whole season! And also where is the skip to the next episode button that used to be present during play?

I have no clue if the design will change. I just know feedback has been heard and it’s being looked into.

A Plex employee would have to comment further on this for enlightenment. :slight_smile:

Holy crap I am having the same problem!!! thought i was going mad.

My Xbox app refuses to connect to my server. But does connect to my friends… I’m at home and I can access my server on my phone but not on xbox…

The new Xbox App UI is downright terrible, and comes complete with new bugs.
The new “Hidden off the top” menus are anti-intuitive, even now we know they are there, and the general experience is now clunky beyond belief.
Even more irritating, is movies & TV shows all end prematurely close to the end, and require restarting that particular file.

There should have been a “Roll Back” option on Xbox, so that we could go back to a system that works well, instead of being forced to endure this new crap!

My issue with the new app is that is not well organized, in the PC version you can divide your entries as Movies, TV, Music, my problem is I have in movies divided in Animated, Recent Movies and Classic you can easy find what you want, but in the Xbox One app there is no division is all added into movies, no matter what you do, my Animated, Classic, and Recent Movies are mixed together, my collection in total is about 300 so you can imagine how difficult it is.The old app version was identical as the PC.
