within the app settings (not the server settings) I went and changed the prohibit insecure connections to Allow on local network. The app started working after that.
I had a similar issue when I got forced back onto the preview version the other day. Once I fell back to the old version, the app was able to connect to the PMS. A possible option for you without having to resort to insecure connections?
I feel like this new upcoming version isn’t ready - between this and the music playing issues, it’s pretty much a deal killer for me. Especially because the dance went: 1. Forced to preview mode. 2. forced to log in again and so lost all of my customizations. 3. Wouldn’t connect to my server. 4. Fell back to the older app. 5. Forced to log in again. Lost all of my customizations. 6. Finally able to see and play my music without crashing.
As far as I know, you can’t prevent it from updating (I’m not an xbox person, that’s hubby’s thing - I manage the server side - so I may be wrong) but you can turn off preview in the settings of the app. Then it will stay there until some undetermined point where it will randomly push you to the preview again, wherein you’ll have to turn preview off again. That’s the annoying dance I described above and why I don’t bother customizing the side bar anymore.
