I have the PMS on a Laptop running W7. I've disabled the Modem-Router's Firewall as well as Window's firewall. I have a WiFi Modem-Router from Xfinity. My PMS-Laptop connects to the network using WiFi. I can access the wireless server from my wireless iOS clients on iPad and iPhone. However, the Xbox One client can't see the wireless Plex Server (i.e. the message is: "No Server's Found", "Server version 0.9.10.3 or higher required", "We were unable to connecto to any of your PMS." ). It doesn't matter if the Xbox One connection is wired or wireless (I've tried both). However, if I connect an Ethernet cable to the PMS-Laptop (directly to the WiFi Modem-Router), the Xbox One client finally finds the Plex server. Xbox One can see the wired Plex server when itself is wireless or wired. Can anyone explain to me what might be happening and how to make Xbox One client find the Server that has a wireless connection?
Now it's working. I did two things: (1) checked the Manually specify port to 32400 checkbox; and (2) configured port forwarding in my router (as described here). The XBox One client then recognized the Wireless Server. I've since disabled port forwarding (to rule out the router) and the Xbox One Plex Client still works. Apparently, all I had to do is Manually specify port to 32400.
