Yep
Come on, give me a break. When you are trying to help people all day long and are all over the forums and the title isnāt in view or in the URL itās hard to remember ever conversation you take part in. Iām human and will blow it from time to time. LOL
You could have also answered the question since Iām trying to help instead of just ridiculing me.
Not trying to be rude, but there are 2 threads on the first page with it in the title, and itās been mentioned many times in other threads about issues in the last releases.
I donāt know what your role is but since you seem to post often in this sub-forum I just found it hard to believe that you (as a Plex employee?) arenāt aware of the many buffering complaints.
I have to wonder what else Plex isnāt aware of? Do you know about the FF and Rew issue? Or the incessant need to transcode everything that the previous app didnāt? Or Pause button getting broken for no apparent reason?

Ninjas are not Plex Employees. We are volunteers.
How are we supposed to know who is who? He has a plex symbol as his avatar picture.
If it says PLEX NINJA itās a volunteer. If it says PLEX EMPLOYEE then itās an employee.
Simple as that.
Ninjaās are typically long time Plex users who know the system very well or specific parts extremely well. Some are power users, some are plug-in devs. Many of the Ninjas are well versed in different operating systems and their associated tools. Typically we have lots of different hardware (from servers to desktops to NAS boxes). Most use a few different clients as well. The Ninjas have different skill sets for sure and come from all over the world.
Some of the Ninjas run different media servers/system as well. For example I run Kodi, Emby and Plex systems. We love technology and use other tools related to Plex.
The Ninjas work will the Employees via group and private chat systems as well as have access to atleast one layer of Issue Tracking system(s) to see what has been filed or needs to be filed which we can do. We often (not always) have access to early builds of software to help test and get feedback. Ninjaās play no role in deciding when to make releases or how to plan staff time or anything of that nature. Most importantly we are volunteers and not paid to do this. Many of the Ninjas happen to work in the tech field but that is no requirement of course.
I would assume an unpaid volunteer at that?
Hopefully @cayers, you know that most peopleās frustrations are aimed at the product, and not at you when youāre trying to help. I imagine itās a hard hat to wear sometimes.
@AmazingRando24 Agreed, definitely a hard hat to wear. They take a lot of abuse and are restricted from sharing the information we all want.
Welcome back @cayars ! @Tdawg410 summed up many of the issues. Those are the main issues that are annoying me too. Several of us have asked if the pinned known issues post could get updated, but so far, that hasnāt happened. Not sure if you could make that happen or not, but it would be helpful if all the known issues could go in the pinned post and stay up to date (including ETAās if known).
I donāt see where it says Plex Ninja or anything. I just see a name and avatar picture.
In any case, itās just frustrating that a short time after I moved to Plex this new app gets forced on us that has an insane number of issues from usability to functionality to stability, and it seems that with each āfixā more stuff breaks. In the meantime the previous app worked flawlessly, even if some felt it looked outdated.

If you click on the username on a mobile device you will see that userās Plex roles.
In a normal web browser view you get this information on the main screen as shown below.

Avatarās mean nothing as everyone gets to pick their own avatar. Iāve had that avatar for years and years.

Is there any other kind of volunteer? ![]()
Is the new Library choosing UI in PMP 2.4.0 going to be ported to the XBox One app?

That is the plan.

Thatās excellent news!
@AmazingRando24 looks like you were right. A new design was in the works all this time. Looks good too. It would be nice if there was an easy way to completely filter out an entire server though too.
Hmm, sorry not tracking. Whatās PMO?
I think he meant the desktop Plex Media Player (PMP) app. You can download and install on computer and check out the new design in TV mode.
Thanks, Iāll check that out. Havenāt used it since it switched to the new UI.

Remember that you have to go into āfull screen modeā to see the new UI, otherwise it just shows the Web interface.

You can remove libraries from your invites (from other people) while retaining the invite and ability to add the libraries back again. Itās sort of an unknown feature but quite handy when you have a ton of people sharing with you. This way you can add them back on demand when needed but not see the libraries otherwise.

PS Itās was hinted numerous times that Plex was listening to complaints and issues people had with the original PMP and xbox versions of the UI. This is now so much better.
