I am running Version 0.9.15.3 media server on a QNAP TS-219P. I am signed in, but I am not signed in to the remote access section as I do not require access outside my home network. My Xbox One is listed under Devices.
My Xbox One app is giving me a No Server Found error. I can’t even enter username/email in the app (if that is required).
I’ve done a search but topics I’ve found tend to me from a couple of years ago.
kegobeer-plex is correct. The Xbox One app is not allowed to browse the local network to look for your server. To work around this the app connects to Plex.tv to retrieve the server information published by your server.
Sorry if you’ve already done this, but when I setup my QNAP (TVS671) I had exactly the same issue. I went to the QTS dashboard on my PC (web page) and then went to the Plex server. Once there, click Settings (screwdriver/spanner icon), select the Server tab, and make sure you’re signed in to your Plex account on that page.
Thanks man, Plex is not allowing me to sign in even there. I get a generic “there was a problem signing in” error. I’ll have to figure out something else.
Did you figure out how the enable remote access? This is a setting on the Server tab. If it doesn’t have a green tick then it’s not enabled and you won’t be able to use your Xbox One to connect with and browse the server.
my kuz is having this sort of issue when accessing my server (remote). He has to remove the app, install to get to working again. Dont know if this is anything like your problem.
