It seems that the Plex server doesn't know all the video formats that the Xbox One supports. For instance, when I play an MPEG-2 TS video in the Plex App, the server starts to transcode it. However, this format is supported on the Xbox One and can be played directly on the Media App without transcoding.

Hello?? Where is Plex support? As a paying customer you would expect some sort of answer to a bug report.
Anyway, this is a showstopper for using the Plex app on the Xbox One. As long as the built-in Media Player performs better using dlna, it doesn't matter if the UI is more appealing in the Plex app.
I tried to add the following element to the DirectPlayProfiles section in the "Xbox One.xml" profile file, but still it transcodes.
Is a new Xbox app required, or is it possible to update the profile?
