I can’t get content to play on my xbox one s. it shows up as available to play but, when I go to play it the screen remains black. HELP!!
I have the exact same issue. Any update on this?
Hi there! Sorry for the late response. Do you have any server logs @dmangreiner @Padoo_Aus?
@Moussa I can’t get the file to attach. My server is on a MacBook Pro if that helps at all.
@dmangreiner this support article explains where to find the logs: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files
The log that will be the most helpful is the Plex Media Server logs as those will say what the server is doing and sending to the Xbox One.
@jmckee I have the logs but I can’t attach the file to the forum
Are they in a Zip file or just the bare logs? Previously I have had issues trying to attach certain file types, but that issue should have been corrected by Vanilla awhile back.
If you’re unable to attach the .zip or individual log, you can always use a link to dropbox or copy the log to pastebin and reference the link as well.
Thank you for the link, I forwarded the information on to Moussa because it appears to be a long_poll error which from what I can tell looks like the Xbox is possibly losing it’s connection which is breaking playback.
But with that being said I don’t 100% know what a longpoll error is caused by, so it will need to be Moussa or one of the server guys that has more of the information on it.
Edit- Moussa got back with me about the longpoll error and it appears to be a red herring.
So is there a way to fix that, or am I out of luck? @jmckee
@dmangreiner Could you upload another set of logs with logging enabled in the Xbox app? And let us know the timestamp of a failed playback attempt. Thanks.
Here are the new logs, if the time stamps match, it would be at 14:31:58 and 14:33:07.
@Moussa
@dmangreiner Thanks for the logs. It seems like the item you’re trying to play is buffering for too long at the start, and eventually the loading times out and we/you stop playback. Are you using a wireless connection to your network? If so does using a wired connection help?
