Keep getting 'There was a problem playing this item' message on videos

Pretty frustrated here. Since the last update of the Plex app on the Xbox One I have been getting the following message a lot for some (Not all) files when I try play them ‘There was a problem playing this item’.

These are files that previously worked fine. I watched one of them the night before the update and it was fine. The night after and now it will no longer play. I have even converted the files as a test to another format (One that I know worked before) and still the same message.

I run my Plex server on a QNAP TS-119Pii which has loads of space left on it. Im on version 0.9.16.6 on that and the latest version on the Xbox One.

Anyone else have this issue? Or know how to fix it?

We would need to see your Plex media server.log to be sure what is happening. The best way to reproduce this would be to verify you have logging enabled in the Plex for Xbox one app, restart the server, attempt to play the video, after the error message appears copy your Plex media server.log file. This should tell us what is causing the error to appear.

Thanks for the response. How do I get my logs exactly? I’m pretty new to this and have no idea where to find them really.

Well i never got my logs but I did uninstall and reinstall plex, rebuild my library and now it plays all the files it refused to before.
