Server Version#: 1.19.4.2935
Player Version#: Xbox one X App Preview
Noticed when I was streaming an H264 mkv earlier with the new Xbox preview app it did not tell the Xbox OS to change the frame rate to 24fps which is what the source was. It stayed at 60fps. I was able to check the source via my tv display info.
Once i reverted back to the normal Xbox one Plex app, the same file was now playing at its normal 24fps.
This is a huge issue, need to be able to play films at their source frame rates like the app currently does today.
Hi there. Could I ask you to turn on logging within the app and then grab and send over the server logs after playing back some media that should switch the display mode to a matching refresh rate?
For the benefit of anyone who is having a problem with display mode switching (24fps playing at 60fps), I too was having this problem but managed to fix it tonight.
Play a video, a few seconds should be enough.
Stop the video and back out to home.
Enter settings.
Untick display mode switching.
Go back to the video and start again. Let it play for a few seconds.
Stop the video and back out to home.
Enter settings.
Tick display mode switching.
All videos should play properly now. Even after exiting Plex and re-entering.
Hey, thanks for the reply and the solution, ill try it.
I was finally able to capture the verbose debug log in my case here. Moussa going to try to PM you with the log
@Monkeylord Realised what the issue is after you posted your steps to fix it. It’s a real on my part. I’ll have a fix in the next update but in the interim just changing the setting off and on once should fix it.
