A good start would be to have DLNA Push from the Plex Media Server as it is already supported by XBox One

Obviously the XBox One would not show the nice interface and everything but we could watch movies through it.

+1.... I think supporting both xbox one and ps4 is going to be critical for the next 3-4 years in terms of set top boxes.  Why should I have to build a second PC when I already have a perfectly capable box sitting in my livingroom.

I'm new to plex but really like it so far. Icing on the cake would be some Xbox One love.

Any news there yet?

I think they simply don’t want to be on the best platform. They quickly develop app on the platform below but they all have issue.

  1. Fire TV that still has lots of problem with DTS / audio in general.
  2. Chromecast which only use WiFi so you cannot stream high bitrates content
  3. Roku that have an horrible look because of roku channel limitation


    I’m still hoping Plex will come to the Xbox One but I doubt it. In any case MS is now preparing a media player with DLNA support and I will use that one if Plex does not come to the Xbox One.
