I have bought Xiaomi Mi Box S 4k few days ago. It took me at least 30 minutes for restarting and unplugging to get Plex to play subtitles on movie.
No matter if I select another subtitle.
Thank god I didn’t get Plex Pass at first. Because it didn’t work as expected.
If I play it on PC or my phone I can watch with subs normally.
Could you confirm what audio format the file has that you are having these issues with? There is currently a known issue with EAC3 audio and subtitles that require transcoding playback may not start.
Checked, looks like all my videos are AC3.
Hope this will be fixed. If I made few restarts (like 10 times or more), MAYBE start with subs. Even graphic is not the same as on computer (it was lower quality with Plex).
Will wait if this will be fixed before I get my Plex Pass.
Any new info when this will be fixed? This is sooo annoying.
Sorry, this fell off my radar, would you be able to provide Android Logs and a sample file? I have not been able to reproduce the issue.
In last month I can’t get this problem again. Will try to remember when it happened again and report it.
