XMLTV Guide not loading

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3006
Player Version#: Any
Tuner Make/Model: HDHOMERUN
Guide/Lineup name: GUIDE.XML
Using XMLTV?: YES
Channel number/Name: any

I’m having the exact same issue, on a mac server. It’s been working fine for months, now as of yesterday nothing will load. I hit refresh guide and it says initialising for about 20 seconds then stops. I know the xmltv is fine as I’ve verified it and it’s working on other apps besides plex. It’s annoying because apparently without a loaded TV guide you can’t even view your channels at all in plex.

Same issue. Roll back your PMS. I reported it up the chain hopefully they’ll fix it.

Confirming that rolling back fixed the issue for me.

I don’t have the previous installer. Where do I get that?

Well oddly enough 1.19.4.2935-79e214ead seems to be the PlexPass and Public download on the main downloads page today, so maybe they pulled 1.19.5

shrug

edit: that update was pulled, so 1.19.4 should work fine. It’s on the main downloads page.

Yep i was able to download and install that version and everything is working with the guide now. Thanks!

There was another NEW beta release today, despite the release notes saying the XMLTV issue is fixed, it is def NOT fixed so I would stay on .19.4

Can report the same here, rolled back to 19.4 version, wonder how that makes it past QC twice lol

Same here, updated but it doesn’t pick up EPG.

Sigh.

There was an issue in early betas of 1.19.5 and that was fixed in 1.19.5.3035
See release notice Plex Media Server

  • (DVR) Server would fail to load program data for certain XMLTV guide sources

Aside from that, there are issues with very large xmltv files
I would need server logs with debug logging enabled and logs captured when the xmltv guide is not loading after a guide refresh or DVR setup. I may also need the actual xmltv file

Can confirm this latest update fixes my issue. Thanks!

@sanderf90 - i am hoping that you found the cause of the problem

If not, it is the bracket character on these lines

<programme start="20200707035553 +02:00)" stop="20200707041712 +02:00)" channel="1">

Hi. I deleted my response the second I realised it was not an issue that was on the plex’s side. It has been reported and been fixed by the people creating the xml.
