Hello, I reinstalled PLEX as a new program in my new server and synchronizing the TV channels I realized when I returned that the TV Guide is empty even if the channels found them and did the Match, I reinstalled PLEX twice, but nothing, is there a FIX?
Server Version#: 1.25.8.5663
Player Version#: all version
Tuner Make/Model: Wintv SoloHD
Guide/Lineup name: DVB-T/T2 Italy
Using XMLTV?: NO
Yeah I did the same reinstalled 1.25.8.5663-e071c3d62 and tried to setup my HD HomeRun. It tells me there is no TV Guide available for the United Kingdom. This was working yesterday before 5663 so I suspect yet another Plex regression.
That would be my assumption. Sadly when I nuked my machine I did have the previous 5 versions .deb files in my Download directory and I stupidly only copied the latest otherwise I could rolled the version back and checked.
@pl_5309 This is a brand new install on a machine I nuked and installed the latest .deb for.
So there are two differences, I switched from Ubuntu to Zorin OS. and I switched to version 5663.
The issue occurs when you try to add the DVR and the system prompts you to give a path to an XMLTV guide file. When you click the link to say you don’t have one it asks for your Country ‘United Kingdom’ and Post Code say ‘WC2N’ at which point it says there are no TV guides available for your region.
Shame… I could have kicked myself because it would be so easy for me to roll back. I actually have 2 servers, one which has all my media and one I just use for TV., so it’s the TV one I nuked
One quick downgrade to 1.25.7.5604 and the TV Guide is working exactly as it did Wednesday. I shall still here until it’s fixed. Also another regression for your devs to look at.
I had three movies recorded from TV and 5663 could not match them and returned no answers. Back on 5604 it was able to correctly locate the metadata for all 3.
@pl_5309 your comment regarding Ubuntu or Debian is strange as until a month ago I had never used Ubuntu. I had always used a fork such as Linux Mint, Pop_OS! with no issues.
I also use Fedora for my main server and you provider .RPM so is that a ‘unsupported’ distro?
Without logs it is impossible to say what the issue was.
As a test, I deleted the DVR and recreated without issue on 1.25.8.5663. I used https://app.plex.tv/web for a client (Version 4.77.3) since the bundled (Version 69.1) doesn’t have fixes dealing with tuner setup.
@RWGaMeR my own take is that the dev changed the lookup for the guides & metadata to point to an internal server, and forgot to change it back. Hence when they test internally it is fine, but out in the field it doesn’t work.
