How do I properly import TV Guide information into Plex in a useful way? I have two HDHomerun Prime 3 tuners and I am using xteve to join the two together and allow me to customize the channel order. I have Zap2XML fetching the information and then exporting a XML to Plex.
The issue is in the sports categories. I cannot use the DVR function at all when it comes to recording a series in sports. I have been reading through the forums here for the last 3 days and I cannot find a solution anywhere.
If I use the built in EPG feeding the HDHomeRun in directly I get this,
In testing, if i feed the HDHomerun into plex directly and use the xml from Zap2IT the college football series function is broken. Also, the program icon for college football is taken from the first game on the guide and replicated for every game after regardless of who is playing.
Feeding directly into Plex but using the TV Guide data instead of zap2it (still using Zap2XML), both the series function and the program icon breaks. The title also breaks.
Finally using xteve to proxy the tv and the XML, the function is basically the same as either Zap2it or tvguide’s data (depending on who supplies xteve with the xml).
What is the proper way or format needed to set up the DVR functionality with an XMLTV file? Has anyone been successful with this?
