anyone know how to get audio to my receiver instead of the Tv? I am in demo mode right now but has been playing 4k content like a charm! amazing app (Thanks Developer) but there is no way to output to my Receiver. I want to make sure I can do that before purchasing it!

XPlay doesn’t have any specific settings for this, since your TV settings will be used and it works the same way for all your apps, tv, etc. You can use HDMI-ARC or an optical cable to connect your tv to your receiver. Then set this up in the audio section in settings of your TV. If it works for broadcasting signals and other apps, it’ll work for XPlay as well 
Hi, since the last update I cannot transcode videos anymore. If I unflag the “use direct play” check on x-play setting I get the error “the video cannot be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported”. It happens the same if I need to transcode a video because of subtitles or extra audio tracks. Note that trancoding worked perfectly with the previous version of x-play.
Any idea of what’s happening?
My system: LG 65B6V firmware 04.30.65, Plex server 1.4.1.3362 (windows 10)

Turns out it was my TV’s wireless… everything is going great.
also it’s cool to see 4k HDR movies playing flawlessly as well.

On webOS2 TV everything is OK.

Nope … I can only try to play and debug media files from your PMS and check for exceptions on my side … but I need a shared lib and media file “with” this problem

Not sure if possible, but thought of a new feature that could be handy. Is it possible to assign the toggle subtitles feature to one of the 4 colour buttons? In settings you can assign playback functions but subtitles would be great as well.

Ye … why not? all those functionality are custom made. I just catch key down event and do assigned action. The main problem will be to translate action name to all languages) Just recently I got an email from LG QA about translation problems for German and French languages)

Hi @bublikoff ! Firstly, I really think that XPLAY is the best player for Plex! Really happy to have it!
I don’t know if it is possible, or even if it is already implemented somehow, but is there a way to hide all the controls during pause? Perhaps after a configured time? It could be shown again if any button is pressed…
Anyway, just a minor annoyance, your player is GREAT!

Since my OLED55E6V doesn’t have gigabit ethernet (unbelievable!!), I have to use Plex over Wifi ac… I tried the official Plex app for LG. Piece of ■■■■, stuttering all the time with direct play and 1080p remuxed movies. Someone told me about XPlay and tried it… Works like a charm! I still miss some features, like being able to add time offset to the subs, but I’m pretty happy with the app.

That’s what the trial/demo period is for right, to see if it suits your needs? No one forced you to buy it and you could have tested it all. Your argument isn’t even valid since XPlay plays hardsubs and softsubs fine without transcoding. It works like a charm for me.
