XPlay (WebOS)

Not true, the 2017 models support compressed DD+ and Atmos over ARC, just not lossless TrueHD.

Is there any way that I can make HDR srt subs less bright? I already set color to gray but in dark scenes I feel the subtitles are too bright, they steal focus from the rest of the scene.

Hi
I receive parsererror/200 on one of my libraries.
How can i solve the problem?
Thanks so much

That’s not true. I watch Netflix etc with lossy Dolby Atmos and it sounds amazing. Again, you need to have a 2017 LG OLED (can’t speak for other models), but it works perfectly.

Xplay does not support Collections? It does not show on my LG tv.

Just noticed in version 20180222.1.2.8, when the clock is put in 12 hour mode it puts an AM/PM indicator at the end of the time but does not actually do the math to show 12 hour time.

i.e. you get 22:35 PM instead of 10:35 PM

Yeah the clock is acting weird for me sometimes as well. I would be happy if I could just hide it completely

Could it be that - at least on WebOS 1.x TVs - PLEX/Xplay is only able to play the FIRST TWO SRT subtitle Tracks embedded into an MKV without transcoding while any additional SRT subtitle track always needs to be transcoded, just like it´s limited to the first audio track being decoded without transcoding?

XPlay can play embedded sub but as webOS is responsible for that the app only ask to show them by language code. And in case the movie have two or more subs with the same language code only one subs track can be “played” without transcoding.
Its just webOS API limit

Clocks are ticking and we are getting older … just accept the reality)))

12H time issue should be fixed now

I suppose you are speaking about external subtitle?
Check settings for “Dark Gray” option now

@bublikoff i have a problem that if i select Danish like languegde it dosent work it plays english. It works fine in plex. What do you need of info to investigate this? Thanks.

bublik, is there any way to install the newest version of xplay on webos2.0 ? or is it only for webos3.5x?

Hello! Love XPlay over the Official Plex app for WebOS but the official app has one advantage for me – the ability to boost audio.

Maybe its just the acoustics of my room but videos I download and watch on Xplay tend to be muted or soft. Turning up the volume on my TV doesn’t help with clarity, it just makes it louder. Those same videos on the official Plex app (using the audio boost) are pretty good! So hoping this feature could be implemented some day. Thank you!

@eriksr this is already implemented just use the play icon that’s inside a square on the left hand side (when the movie details load) and you get a chance to select your audio boost amount

Hi,

Why the playback option works on some movies or tv shows in Xplay? It start always in the beginning.
But in Plex it works perfectly.

grtzzzz

Did Xplay stop working with the current version of Plex Server Version 1.12.1.4885? It can no longer connect on the local network. It can connect if I enable remote access, but video files will not play, saying they are not compatible.
DLNA is working with the LG Plex app and the LG Photos and Videos apps.

Ignore this^^ I think its a network issue with the Windows Internet Connection Sharing (I have ethernet to from the TV to the media PC running Plex). Xplay over Wi-Fi works fine.
