@bublikoff hey I’ve noticed some odd behaviour recently where my AAC 5.1 encoded tracks all seem to be missing both front and surround right channels. When I use the official app I don’t have that issue? Can this be related to the center channel missing bug?
Yes I confirm I’m encountering the same bug. Workaround: press backward once and all audio channels work again. I sent an email few days ago but got no answer. I asked also to have an access to the new app to see if the problem is still there.
I get the center channel back but I never get the right hand side…
Is there a way to navigate by chapters while playing a movie ? WebOS Internal player has this functionality by up/down remote buttons. Or is it already implemented ? ( I may not find the way)
Thanks in advance.
Has something changed with XPLAY? There is a new message that is starting to pop up under my unwatched media. “The media will be transcoded by the PLEX Media Server before bing streamed” What the hell is happening? This is just a 720p .mkv file. So it is no reason this should not direct play? Is this an XPLAY issue or is this PLEX Cloud?? Anyone else experiencing this?
For people that frequently browse a library, forcing the page arrows as a navigation step between library items and letter selection would be a huge improvement.
Right now, if I want to flip through pages I have to move near the middle, move down, probably hit the letter selection instead of the arrows, move underneath the arrow I want, then move back up to get the arrow. It sucks
Another huge improvement would be to remember my location when moving Back. So that if I select a library item, then hit Back, it doesn’t highlight the first menu item, it highlights whatever I selected before.
@bublikoff
Is it not possible to make the first page with “knowned bugs”
And outher information?
Im not getting eney reply on the things i wrote to you on email?
Regards Daniel
@bublikoff any updates to xplay soon?

One important notice about embedded subs …
Of the moment its not possible to show embedded sub tracks other than the first one from subs list.
Hi,
Would it be possible to have an option to NOT show all the embedded subs? Almost all of my movies have embedded subs(sometimes 20+) that I don’t use due to it forcing transcoding. And the ones I find using the SubZero plugin is usually better.
An option to hide all embedded subs or the ones that force transcoding would be perfect! Or if it is not possible, I would prefer the subtitle sort order to be “external first” or “date added descending”.
What do you think?

It would be nice though if XPlay defaults to the subtitle track that does not require transcoding.
Right now, when f.e. a web-dl has 2 subtitle tracks
- English
- English SDH
The behavior I’m seeing on the LG side within XPLay is that the first track is set to transcode, and the second track can be direct played.
This means normal English will be set to transcoding, English SDH can play without transcoding. On the XPlay side, you are kind off doing the opposite, which is logical in it own stand-alone way.
XPlay will default to track 1, but this means we need to alter the subtitle stream every time. This is especially annoying when automatically playing the next episode, as you have to change the subtitle choice to be able to actually play the file.
As it’s buffering before starting the player, this means going back to the episode menu, alter the subs, and restart playback. So my quick fix would be to have XPlay default to the last track if multiple track with the same language code exist. That would help in the playback ease.
Sorry, I didn’t see this suggestion before posting my question above.
I wholeheartedly agree 100% with what @Mirx said. Every episode or movie I play I have to alter subtitles before. And auto play is impossible because of this.
And as I said before, an option on how to display the subtitle list would solve this(sort/filter list according to date added, language, hide Language X, etc).
This is probably a stupid question but is there a way for XPlay to see/use playlists? I feel like if there was, it would be pretty obvious, but maybe I’m missing an option or something.
I am using the app in a very unstable internet location and the app stops streaming each time the internet goes offline, Should i toggle something to make it work offline?
Hi all,
related to the simon100100 question,
there is a way to start the xplay app with a local plex server without setting up the plex account ?
Why i need to register a plex account when i know the IP and i don’t need internet to play from LAN server ?
The first question that XPlay ask (also the offical plex app) is the plex account, please go instead to the setup page or ask as alternative way for the IP of the plex server
Hey guys, can someone confirm if Xplay works with anime with multiple embedded SSA subtitles without transcoding?
Plex always transcodes, and the resulting quality is really bad. The TV plays these files fine with subtitles, just doesn’t show the SSA styles.
As soon as you open the app you don’t have any option except linking your device to your account through the code, How could you add the server manually??
Hey guys, I have these files with multiple .ssa embedded subtitles, but Xplay only plays the first embedded subtitle.
It is able to list these subtitles normally, but selecting them (during or before playback) won’t change the displayed subtitle.
Can this be fixed? It happens for all my files with more than one embedded subtitle.

Yes, this is exactly the problem !
Xplay must start anyway (without the account) and enable, at least, the setup menu so you can add a local plex server manually and after that xplay can enable all the other menu.
why force the users to have a plex account if they don’t need it ? Only for have a local ip that they know ?
I think it’s better to leave che chance to setup the ip manually skipping the account request.
What if i want to use Xplay on a TV with a LAN plex server without having an internet connection ?
This is impossibile at that time, you depend on the internet connection…
I stopped using XPlay soon after purchasing due to the frequent issue where audio would suddenly only come out of the left speaker. Is this ever going to be fixed?
@bublikoff : I found a bug in the delete workflow for Plex that you may be able to work around.
I am a person that the bulk of my television content I watch and delete meaning I typically would have only one episode for a series on the file server at a time. What I noticed is that if I delete the episode at the series or season screen I return to the library screen without issue. However, if I delete an episode while in the episode screen and it is the only episode in the series, the Plex web interface returns to a blank web page rather than the library page and in the XPlay app it will sit on the loading screen (blank with activity circle) forever. I need to power toggle the tv to get XPlay out of this mode.
The enhancement would be to not add the delete control to the sidebar on the episode screen if there is only one episode in the series which would force the user to delete from the Season or the Series screen.
@bublikoff, hello
in the last year (march) you did write abt gonna playlist functionality implementation
after 1y where is that and will it be?
