How come Netflix does Dolby Digital Plus but xplay only Dolby digital normal? I’m playing a movie with Atmos.
Probably because your content doesn’t have compressed (lossy) Dolby Digital Plus (Atmos), and Netflix does. Compressed DD+ Atmos is not the same as TrueHD (lossless) Atmos seen in UHD Blurays for instance, so the content has to support this. Netflix does, most rips don’t. You can only get compressed lossy Atmos over HDMI ARC.
So yeah, it’s pretty confusing when Atmos can mean 2 versions of Atmos… But doesn’t have anything to do with XPlay.
That’s a bummer so I’d have to compress the audio track on my content myself if thats even possible. I don’t want to get Apple TV 4k just to play Atmos content, because I like the seemless interaction between webos and xplay. Xplay works really good but yeah its too bad current hdmi spec doesn’t support lossless Atmos.

It depends where you feel that it slower … need more information. I can not measure UI speed =)) I can only rely on my feelings. New version will work faster for eg with big libs … it will open big lib faster … and etc … you can switch off media art to speed up details screen
Still need at least French and German language. The rest will be omitted as it will take too much time to wait help in translation
Will the new UI support collections?
If so, will there be a view filter where individual movies are not shown but their collections are? For instance, I have a Disney collections with a dozen movies. Those movies are not shown in the list but Disney is, and I can drill into it to see all those movies.

One thing i love about the current XPlay UI is the ‘breadcrumb bar’ on the top that allows me to easily ‘jump up’ when navigating. It’s something missing in the normal plex app that is super annoying.
Will that same ‘breadcrumb bar’ be available in the new version of xplay. I really really really hope it will

Did anybody solve the stretching of video issue? Currently have that on my 4:3 content. Works well in official app but on Xplay the image is stretched.
