The only thing I can do for the moment is nothing. They have approved a quiet old version what has no online update functionality and the only way to fix anything or add new functionality is to send it to LG QA team … but they arrrrr soooooo much slow. Ive send them (on several days ago) version latest dev version with online update functionality. It will allow me to react to bugs much faster … and “publish” updates in 2 mouse clicks. It also will allow me to force for some users to start old version (old UI variant) from online in case they dont like new UI

Thanks for sticking with it. I’m sure it’s very frustrating that you spent a while coding away at a new app for LG to mess things up and your user base to revolt. I like the ideas of the new interface, so keen on the new one coming out.

First of all thanks for the effort with Xplay. I loved it and immediately bought it… But the new interface is just rubbish for me.
The old version was so much cleaner, displaying more information at once. The left menu with quick access to filters… loved that.
NOW I am overwhelmed by giant posters (not configurable for home?), a retracting side bar (why do we need that on a big TV?) and oh yes… I have more than three users and guess what… I can not select my user as it is alphabeticaly the last one. Awesome… NOT.
Very, very unpleased with that.
I hope you get this sorted out soon and you stick to your word that we can get back to old interface.

Yesterday my TV asked me to update to the latest version, which I did, and from then I couldn’t get to pass the initial account linking step… it asks me for the 4 letter code to link my account but it doesn’t give me enough time to enter the letters, every time I enter the letters fast enough it shows me the message saying the time has expired (after a few seconds of waiting).
Is this a known problem? Is there any way to pass over it?
Just in case, I must mention that I’ve paid for the app.

Hello @bublikoff, could you please let us know when is it “safe” to update to the latest (correct) version? And in case we don’t like the new UI (many users complained) how can we get the good old UI. It would be really nice if we had control directly from the app.

Thank you very much for the update to v2.187.292. I am missing ONE important feature which the old XPLAY version had so far. I am no longer able to select a version of a movie if I have stored the movie with different qualities. Please, add this feature to the next update! I really need that feature!

I have a strange problem on the new version with subtitles.
From time to time part of the subtitle is black like in the picture.
It happens totally random but it can be reproduced every time on certain moments.
The subtitles are in SRT format, polish language, encoding is changed to Windows-1250 on the app.
Problematic subtitle looks like this in the source file:

No consigo ver mi servidor porque estan ordenados alfabeticamente y tengo varios servidores de amigos mas. Ruego se solucione esto.
Por otro lado tengo otra cuenta plex y al inicuarla me dice que tengo cinco dias de periodo de prueba y me imagino que no deberia ser asi ya que la aplicacion ya se abonó en su momento.

This that there is missing selection of version to be played You already know. But after update half of the files that was working in direct play now are transcoded, that’s a big drawback
Hope this will change in the next versions i.e.:
such file ( Stream #0:0: Video: hevc (Main 10), yuv420p10le(tv), 3840x1600, SAR 1:1 DAR 12:5, 23.98 fps, 23.98 tbr, 1k tbn, 23.98 tbc (default)) was played without an issue now is transcoded.
My TV is LG 49UF800V. Hope this will help.

Обновился до последней версии. Все отлично но есть вопросик: почему XPlay не воспроизводит файлы с кодеком HEVC - только с транскодированием? хотя Plex прекрасно воспроизводит. И еще (это было и в прошлых версиях) Почему озвучка и титры, если в списке не первые, то помечены красной Т - это что тоже перекодировка? Объясните пожалуйста.

This new version and the wrong version approved in the LG market is really a nightmare… now i’m stuck on the PIN code loop…
I cannot enter Xplay anymore either. Just keeps asking for the link code, and it never accepts it. I’ve also paid for the app…
Any news on when it’ll work again? Right now it won’t even start.
Same here. PIN loop. Continuously entering a different code, no luck. Is there a work around anyone has found?
