Sounds dumb but fixed it for me for the regular Plex app to turn the TV off and unplug the power for a few minutes then turn it back on. Residual power could keep stuff in RAM-type memory on the TV that won’t clear until there’s no power.
Awesome, that worked. Thanks!
I have the same problem, but the thing is that the app works on my friend’s servers. I’m curious if you are using different ports on the internal and external IP, like I do. All my friends are using the port 3200 for external and for internal, I don’t think this is a solution, just trying to troubleshoot. Also, are your server local or remote?
My xplay suddenly working. No PIN loop.
If not everyone follows XPlay on Twitter:
Woot!!! Can’t wait!
I just faced with the login problem that has been mentioned many times since the updated app. I entered my 4 digit passcode over and over, but it kept going back to the screen where you select a user.
I unlinked and relinked my account, got stuck there as well, typing the link code, but the TV just presents me another code an endless loop.
I uninstalled and then re-installed the app… did not fix it.
I then turned off the tv (disconnect electricity for half a minutes), removed my LAN cable, turned the tv on again, connected to wifi, and then tried the linking process again, it it finally went through. Not sure if it is the hard reset, or the switch in IP address that made it work again. But perhaps there is something here for others stuck with this issue.
Besides that on the updated app.
Things I like: the way we can adjust the subtitles when they are out of sync.
Things I don’t like (besides the login issues)
- terrible layout (the huge posters, menu on left always hidden, no way to use alphabet to jump to a title etc)
- no mute on the theme songs of TV shows once you enter the menu (it was easy to mute in the old version).
I love the way this app used to work. I love that it Direct Plays almost everything (my biggest issue with the original plex app… it’s really really behind with HEVC). Hope a better version will be released very soon.
It’s unbeliveable… this worked on my PIN loop too… what a mess :S:S:S
Almost every state/data is held within the RAM of the TV, app states, updates, etcetera. The only way to reset this is to turn of power completely. Always a good way to clear any weird behaviour that occurs.
the layout is pretty good imho. you get used to it.
looking forward to final version.
How do i get the USER ID for buying XPLAY
The webos app dont login tp plex server “DEMO over?” so is there another way to get the USER ID than in settings in xplay ?
Solved, by removed power to tv it worked.
This new version coming our way, will it have the feature for auto login. It’s a pain having to keep putting in the pin in every time you open the app.
can’t play 4k hdr movies too, it’s always buffering. Before it was always smooth direct play.
Smaller posters pls
I still have this problem. The app works just fine, but nothing will play.
It seems the version released today 2.713.102 is worse than the other one?
When you go to TV show series and click on a season I get a blank screen? @bublikoff
can you provide the exact version of the version which causes this problem?
I think that would help @bublikoff.
I’m sure @bublikoff is well aware the version published today is 2.713.102
I got this update also. What does it do anyone knows? Interface is the same?
What are the changes with this new accepted version? only bug fixes?
