@bublikoff The version which is still in LG content store after fresh install works pretty OK for me (not as the version which updates the app by itself). I just want to keep this version but I can not controll the update process in order to be able to disable it. But I can block the communication of the app with the update server. PLEASE tell me the IP adress and the port used by your Xplay app for getting updated. I will block them from my border firewall thus I will have a decent work-around to keep the application at the version that works for me (by blocking the communication for udpating). I see no other wait to keep a certain version if you know please share with us.

5 days has passed and I have xplay unusable.
the worse that the developer does not give any news about fixes to solve the problems.


LG has rejected the update today …
But what Ive noticed is comment to this reject … according to this comment they are trying to make a good face over a bad game … The asked one more time to make video where I can play the same video content from event video with playback issue and if I will able to play it they will finnaly approve it … the only bad thing is that it will not fix this issue in reality … it will only allow other ppl to have update … untill next fight with LG … and its the most sad thing that LG did not accept that this problem exists =( and Ive no idea if they will fix this problem silently or not

Ive already told many times that the problem is not in v2 itself. The problem in webOS susystem. The app is just GUI for system video player. It means that the app uses webOS video player … or better to say HTML4 video player. And switching back to v1 will not change anything
And besides we make fun of us!
The V2 is a very big disaster!
Nothing works !!!
- The resume function does not work
- In the latest online version, can not display 4K movies
- Home users are missed
- The dashboard is the same for everyone
- Error messages when leaving a video
- Settings that reset each time you update
- Slow interface as not possible
- A paid application ??? for all these bugs !!! A big scam
A tip, take example on DironDir who developed the application for Android TV !!! He is listening to users. He does not wait 20 years before releasing updates. And with every update, we are not bored as we can be with yours !!!

This application is great in my opinion, i’m very satisfied, everything works fine for me (except resume function, but that’s not a big deal), it is waaay better than the official PLEX app.
I’d like to say a big thanks for the developer, keep up the good work and good luck with LG.
Yeah indeed. It also works here, 4k works…resume does not. But that’s not a big issue.
I love the Xplay app and i do think the communication between LG en @bublikoff faces some language and translation issues that are more of a problem than the technical issues since it runs on WebOS of LG. Good luck @bublikoff…if you need translation help let us know. Lots of users know more than one developer 
It seams that LG will finnaly approve the update. It will propobly takes LG about a week to push it to the apps store.
The intereted thing is that Ive not done anything to fix playback issue on my side as I can not fix it. The app is just a GUI for system (HTML) video player and I can not fix playback problems especialy becouse the app is trying to play compatible video content. The main problem that it took too much time to LG to understand that the app function well and its not the app issue … and there is a question to LG … will they insist next time that this the problem of the app or not?! And will they fix the issue in system video player or not?!
And one more question … did they finally accepted to approve the update because the problem with QA gone to public or not?!
The main problem with LG is that you can call for an answer only by transferring the problem to public. Ive tried to have email conversations with them … zero result. Ive had a private conversation with LG US divison … they just told me to contact LG RU division … but local division does support only end customers.And only because LG US is english speaking twitter account they had to stay on fire line … Ive told them that nothing personal =) Twitting to LGElectronics account was quite useles as its korean account =(. The last time when LG has removed the app from apps store (several years ago) without any notifications to me … only twitting to LG US tiwitter account … the same way I had to do in current situation helped to return the app to apps store. Even LG used to insist that v1 had too mach problems … they have returned the app with asking me to fix anything …
Its a quite sad situations … in cooperation with big corps.
Maybe of course I misunderstood something because I am not a native speaker … but here is response to me. I told them that Ive re-submitted the app. They have asked me to re-submit the app and they have promised to approve the app without going throught QA. But now they are telling me that they will email me QA results as soon as the QA is finished.
Nope you understood them right with the last one they said so long as you dont alter it they dont have to go through QA and would push it through… Bloody IDIOTS!!!


Ive made one more inquery … to understand which replay is the correct one … will they push the app to full QA procedure or the app will be approved without going through QA. Lets see what will be the replay tomorrow …

Many users here have already told you that V2 is sh** and so do I, but you give a damn sh**.
I really loved V1, everything was working perfect and was optically much better presented.
I was using Xplay a lot for listening hearbooks or music, which I had to stop since
it is not possible to jump or FFW/RRW with V2.
Just one reason why V2 is bulls****.
The only “power” the user has, is to never ever give any of our money to you or LG.
One more ridiculous ansswer from LG . They have asked to resumbit the app without any chnges. I did it but as its not possible to do that with same version number I just increased it. But app files remain to be the same but they insist that it was changed … lol … nervous laughter

All products has some kind of logic end … and LG did not allow me to keep v1 as separate version … along with v2.
v1 had no more space to improve its fucntioanlity as GUI design was actualy made for web client and for TV … TV has different algorithm of inteacting with users

Hard to say … need more detais about TV and media content. But in shot I can only stay that actual media playback depends from system video player as the app is just GUI. For eg the current situation is becouse of playback issue and Ive no idea how should I fix it. Ive made several videos where I showed to LG the problem … the there is propobly some memory leakage in webOS but LG does not accept it … at least on public.
Anyway … we can move to the next step only after update update will be published becose online version may works incorrect. Ive noticed that webOS behave strage past few monthes … as for eg there is not only playback problem. There is some problem with system API … and Ive somehow to deal with this issue … as you can guess LG again does not want to see the problem. The app calls API to store app’s state data but system do nothing and it leads to problem in the app. So … API behave differ from its description …
So … can not predict anything for the moment. Only step by step movement …
