LG CX doesn’t have a DTS decoder, so with direct play there is no sound if DTS is the only audio option. Is it possible to force plex server to transcode DTS tracks from the XPlay app?

Any progress on this? I use WebOS TV-Version 4.4.0-9 (goldilocks-gorce) and would be glad to test XPlay v3. But it’s not offered in the LG content store…

Every time I start XPlay it tries to connect to an older Plex server that doesn’t exist any more. How do I remove the reference to the old server?

Why did you remove the subtitle offset sync? It was one of the main features for me when using v2 on a LG B7. Now I’ve upgraded to a LG C1 and only v3 is available. I liked the UI on v2 alot more, but I’ll guess the v3 UI will grow on me with time. But subtitle offset sync? Where is it?
Hi, the reason was quite simple … new “simple” video screen UI design … I had no idea where to put it. I just published a version with sync functionality … try and give a feedback … it has 0.25sec step … if you need different step size just tel me … but there are might be a problem with it in transcoding mode due to the way it gets subtitles from PMS … if you are able to test it in transcoding mode it would be great
- Yes, due to quite old web engine that is used on webOS 1.x-4.x to host apps… its a bit hard to use modern soft to create app and use it. By the way webOS 4.5 probably can be used to host v3 … but due to webOS emulators and the situation that I dont have real TV with webOS 4.5 to test v3 I cant publish it.
- For the moment I need to publish refreshed v2 version … it will give me more opportunity for testing apps on users TV even I will probably able to run v3 instead of v2 … for testing purpose only =)
- Am I right that you like UI from v3 more than UI from v2? I had idea to create skin selection in app
I Direct play almost everything I watch, but I can try transcoding and come back to you with feedback. If it’s not too much trouble I’d rather have offset sync step with 0.1sec (100ms) since that’s the small change the offset sync sometimes need imho. Thanks for the quick response and BIG thanks to you for being open to user suggested changes 
I’ve tried the offset sync functionality, and it works. There’s one thing I’ve noticed tho, certain steps will not jump 100ms. For example -0.3sec showed as -0.3000000099 or something close to that. Same thing happened once again before reaching -1sec. When stepping back to 0 it showed something like -2.384823958e37sec instead of 0.0. This was fixed when choosing “None” subtitle and then enable SRT External subtitle again.
This isn’t something that hinders the functionality, offset sync still works fine for SRT External subtitles. So it’s just a cosmetic issue. So far this works fine with both Direct Play and Transcode. But i’ve only tried less than a dozen movies total.
Other than this there’s one small issue, when you open the bottom menu where you change bitrate, audio, subtitles, etc it could be a bit more transparent so when you change the subtitle offset sync you can see the subtitle in the background. Right now I have to changed the offset, close the menu, wait for subtitle to appear, open menu, correct the offset again, and repeat until it’s synced. So a little more transparency would make this way easier. It doesn’t have to be much at all, there’s no need to be able to read the subtitle. But only see when it’s synced or not.

Another thing, for some reason it’ll only show recently added movies on the Home page. Single episodes of TV shows doesn’t appear when they’re added to the plex server.
Also, is it possible to add automatic login for the PIN when the app starts?
Is it possible to install v2 on a LG C1 with webOS 6.0? I find v2 to suit my needs much better. And I like the UI more.
Did you pull the latest update. I can no longer see the subtitle offset sync setting in the player.
