I would like a key to try it. And also, how to install on Debian?
Quick question.
How many tuners can you setup.
Hobs
Maximum available tuners in xTeVe are 100.
You have to download and start xTeVe for Linux. You will get the key from me then. PM me
Marmel just want to say this is a a great addon well done!
One question I have is and I don’t know if this is PLEX or xTeVe on my feed I have channels that are not listed in any of the Menus is it possible to still add the channels minus the TC Guide for them?
So I understood the praise (thanks), but not your question.
What is the TC Guide?
Quick question.
I have this setup however, due to plex limitations, there is a limit to the number of channels one can have at the same time.
Is there a workaround for this? I notice you have an option for number of tuners, but I’m guessing plex would still only show <450 channels?
Thanks in advance!
Plex can only represent about 450 channels.
The number of tuners indicates how many different channels can be streamed at the same time.
Sorry TV Guide
M3th0s - The filter function is your friend!
Let me try again It was not clear what my problem is.
So for example I am mapping using SKY HD TV Guide / Channel list but I have some Channels on my feed that are not included in the SKY HD list so how can I add these without using a random channel? Not bothered about not having a guide for them just want them to show not he channel list with channel name
I think you use the Plex EPG (your location).
For the Plex EPG, the channels are given by Plex, if Sky shows you 200 channels, but your m3u has 500 channels, Plex will show you only 200 channels. To see all the channels you need to use the XMLTV feature of Plex.
Launch7 - I asked a similar question a few posts back
Search the thread for XMLTV and Webgrab+plus
You will still have to generate the guide data though to get the channel to show.
Cheers
OK i found some instruction in my language.
Kodi dont have problem with that. I added him url witch epg end it find the logos e.c…
OK, if it downloading the EPG data ok then its worth making a couple of changes to the ‘WebGrab++.config.xml’ file…
The red box needs to be set higher than the default setting (5 I believe) otherwise you will keep getting time out errors - I have mine set at 30 but others set it even higher.
The green box is the number of days data to download. 0=1day so for 7 days it needs to be set at 6.
The blue box is the type of update you want it to do - It is ‘f’ as standard, but this will force redownload all data each time you run. Setting to ‘i’ will do an incremental update and so just looks for any changes and new data.
The pink box is what name you want the EPG to display in Plex. I have mine set as numbers as I have all the channel logos loading correctly. When you come to assign your streams to channels in Plex, Plex will only give you a list of whatever you set here. I just get a list of numbers so I keep this xml open so I can see which channels they link to.
So I have 2 lines they are the same channels from the same supplier am I right in thinking to be able to watch 2 channels at once I need to setup 2 tuners with these lines?
Problem is I have added 2 lines but its counting the channels twice so I filtered it when I had the one line so it had 298 channels which was fine but now it has doubled.
What do you mean with “lines”?
Post a few screenshots …
The M3U files allow one person to watch a stream all three have the same channels I am trying to achieve the ability for multiple people to watch the same / different channels at the same time
I think it is setup correctly but now I get this error when I try and play 2 different channels on 2 devices Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.
I probably got you wrong.
xTeVe tuner = number of simultaneously allowed streams by the provider.
xTeVe puts every single m3u into a big one.
