You really Should give us a way to DISABLE ON DECK!

I absolutely LOVE on deck! It’s the only way I keep track of my TV shows i’m viewing and it automatically pops up new episodes of the shows I watch as they get added. on deck is the best feature on plex in my opinion hands down and would be devastated without it. If something is in your on deck that you don’t watch then mark it as watched and it will be gone end of story. You can even go and mark it unwatched again and it still wont show up without you starting it again.

I have 9 different plex accounts/users and 7 have pin codes, never experienced a single issue creating additional users - literally took all of 30 seconds. This would solve your porn problem.

If on deck was to be removed how easy do you feel it would be to track 15 different TV shows that you watch and know where you were in each one? On deck doesnt make sense for movies but it sure as heck does for TV shows. If they could just fix the “recently addd” tv shows we’d be golden…

As do many. However it does seem at least one user would like to disable it in the same way another user is altering it’s makeup, for RARflix or another client/device I assume, because Movies were sliced out and left on the field of battle some time ago.

Can’t stand the annoying, useless speedbump that is “On Deck”. Couldn’t turn it off, so I ditched the player entirely and now use Rasplex. If Plex actually ever starts listening to its users again I might revisit PMP.

Change the “Weeks to consider for On Deck” setting in PMS to 0.

I have done this, and it did not work. “On Deck” still appears.

Can you provide screens shots of the setting page showing the 0 and the home screen, because it is working for me? This will only affect the single “On Deck” row. The other things like Recently Added, etc. will still show. You cannot turn those off.

If you want rid of On Deck go to Settings>Server>Library and set Weeks to Consider for on Deck to Zero (0).

Got rid of it for me.

Might also help to know what player app you were using since different apps show the On Deck differently.
Maybe it is a bug in the app itself.

Ditto. Tried this on both Windows and Synology back ends and seems to apply to both web client and iPad app at least.

I admit, I didn’t read everything in here.

I just have my adult media in “Other videos” and it’s not set to show anything as recently added or on deck. That never has been a problem for me.

I like “On Deck”. I get why some don’t. I personally wish I had more control with it, add or remove stuff. It seems some items never disappear once on there. But asking it be able to be disabled because you can’t figure out how to use profiles/parental controls? I gotta say, that’s just using the wrong tool for the job. The entire purpose for parental controls is so your kids don’t see something you don’t want them to. If you refuse to figure out how to use it, well, that’s on you. Don’t ask them to add some unrelated feature because you don’t want to figure out how to you the feature they gave you specifically intended for the issue you are trying to address.

With Plex Server release of 1.12.0.4829, setting this option to “0” no longer works. It was working up to this release, but a change in this version caused this workaround to break. Any other suggestions to get rid of “On Deck”?

Can you provide me a screenshot?

There should be an option to turn this terrible on deck thing off. I’ll never understand these streaming apps that have to force their features in your face. Some of us just like to select videos on our own and don’t need any hand holding from the program, all you need to do is click on the episode you want without Plex shoving the content in your face. But Plex will not create and option to disable this, they still haven’t addressed auto play being shut off but still playing videos under 5 minutes automatically. Those genius programmers haven’t got a clue.

Actually I think the programmers (at least some of them roku guy) have the clue its the management that does not. It is all about being the same across platform (although a lot of them are still different) and dumbed down.

I am also experiencing this. I don’t use the on deck feature - recently added is good enough for me to keep up with new shows. It used to work when set to “0”, but now it does now.

The setting of zero number of weeks for On Deck was an undocumented feature that inadvertently got zapped when a recent change was made to make sure we do not break if a ridiculous high value entered

This is being looked into

I can’t get the on deck to turn off on my main computer I use as my plex server (windows) or any of my other devices (windows and Android) and I turne

d the weeks to 0

I Look forward to the solution to this! TIA!

Any new info on this? Having the same issue. How about just bringing back the old feature where there was a dashboard section in the settings where we could change the layout of the dashboard. The more customization you allow, the better for the end user. We don’t all want things exactly the same.
